(Eagle News) — The police on Friday, Aug. 24, arrested a Taiwanese national after seizing around P40 million worth of suspected shabu in a raid in his hotel room in Manila.

According to the police, the six kilograms of suspected shabu had been placed in seven plastic bags in the room of Chong Chin Hao in the hotel on P. Mapua St. in Binondo.

Authorities also recovered drug paraphernalia  inside a suitcase in the room, and 20,000 rounds of a  9 mm.

According to National Capital Region Police Office director Guillermo Eleazar, the operation was conducted following a tip received by Stations 4 and 11 of the Manila Police District.

Criminal charges are slated to be filed against the suspect. Mar Gabriel
