PBA GOVERNORS’ CUP: Star Hotshots eliminate NLEX Road Warriors to advance to semis

The Star Hotshots claimed victory over the NLEX Road Warriors on Tuesday,  securing for themselves a slot in the PBA Governors’ Cup semis.

Import Kristofer Acox scored 21 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead the Hotshots to an 89-77 win at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The Hotshots will now advance to the PBA Governors’ Cup semis and now await the winner of the Meralco Bolts-Blackwater Elite quarterfinals series.

Earlier, Blackwater upset top-seed Meralco to force a do-or-die rubber match on Thursday.

Paul Lee scored 18 points while Ian Sanggalang added 14 for the Star Hotshots.

Import Aaron Fuller paced the Road Warriors with 16 points.

Former Star Hotshots player Alex Mallari scored 15 points against his former team while Kevin Alas added 14 markers for NLEX as well.
