The Malacañang respects the view of Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago, wherein the Senator said that the Comprehensive Agreement on the Bangsamoro between the Government and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front is unconstitutional but according to Presidential Communications Secretary Sonny Coloma, every provisions of the said agreement is constitutional, further adding that every member of the Congress has the opportunity to review the Bangsamoro Basic Law once it is proposed.

(Reuters) – Chile’s Interior Minister Rodrigo Penailillo said a tsunami alert for the country’s coastline will remain in place for at least another six hours following a major earthquake. The magnitude 8.2 quake struck off the northern coast of Chile on Tuesday, triggering a tsunami that hit the northern part of the country, but the government said there was no serious damage and no reports of deaths.
The United States Tsunami Warning Center is continuously monitoring the situation after the magnitude 8.2 earthquake in Chile, Tsunami warnings were raised in Hawaii, Alaska, British Columbia, Washington, Oregon and California.
