Number Coding Lifted on April 17-18

The metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) lifts its number coding scheme on Thursday and Friday. “There will be no number coding in Metro Manila on April 17-18” MMDA said over Twitter on Monday. The MMDA also released its schedule of concrete reblocking along Edsa from Tuesday to Friday this week.

BIR Reminds public: Last Day of filing Income Tax Return on April 15

The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) has reminded the public, including corporate taxpayers, that they have only until April 15 to file their Income Tax Returns (ITR). Palace says it won’t allow US warships carrying nuclear weapons to enter the Philippines

Malacañang on Monday gave its assurance that Palace administration will not allow the entry of US warships carrying nuclear weapons. Valte said that while the 8th round of negotiations for the proposed agreement on the Enhanced Defense Cooperation between the Philippines and the US had already been concluded, there will be no “hard and fast rule” governing both sides since the agreement would still have to pass President Aquino’s scrutiny.

President Aquino ‘Satisfied’ with PNP’s Security Measure

Malacañang said on Monday that President Aquino is ‘satisfied’ with the Philippine National Police’s security measures for the coming vacation period. Valte said aside Aquino will also “spend the week monitoring the preparations and actions of concerned government agencies in light of the upcoming holidays.”  This is on top of his other scheduled engagements.

BIR To Pacquiao: Tax Reminder Was Not Meant To Spoil Victory

Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) chief Kim Jacinto- Henares reminded boxing champion Manny Pacquiao to pay his taxes.  Henares said this was not meant to spoil his recent victory over Timothy Bradley. (Reuters)–A Utah woman was arrested and booked on suspicion of murder on Sunday (April 13) after police found the decomposing bodies of seven infants stuffed in separate cardboard boxes in her former home, authorities said.
