(Eagle News) — A 4.1-magnitude earthquake struck Surigao del Norte early Monday, Dec. 5. According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, the quake hit at 1:51 a.m. The epicenter was 4 kilometers northwest of San Francisco. The depth of focus was 31 kilometers. The following instrumental intensities were reported: Instrumental Intensities: Intensity III – Surigao City, Surigao Del Norte Intensity I – Abuyog, Leyte No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.
