Philippine consulate verifies Filipino casualty in Hajj pilgrimage

According to the Filipino consul-general to Jeddah, Imelda Panulong, the Philippine consulate is coordinating with the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos which guaranteed the security of the reported 8,100 Filipinos that joined the Hajj pilgrimage. King Salman orders review of pilgrimage organization

Casualties continue to rise in the Hajj stampede

According to Saudi civil defense officials, 717 deaths were recorded in the stampede that occurred during the Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia with 800 others recorded as injured. “People’s Law Enforcement Boards should be functioning,” mayors told

Newly-appointed Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Mel Senen S. De Lima seeks strict compliance to smoke ban

Justice Secretary Leila De Lima encouraged the public to strictly adhere to the law banning smoking in public places.
