LTFRB asks the public to avail holiday express bus

The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board is encouraging the public to avail of the holiday express bus service which aims to solve the serious traffic problem during the holiday season. According to the LTFRB, said express buses will conduct a non-stop trip between stations. Jeepney phase-out may be implemented in 2018

The Department of Transportation and Communication explained that the implementation of the planned phase-out of old jeeps will not be fast and easy and may be fully implemented only in 2018. The DOTC added that there will be public consultation with those that will be affected by said plan. Duterte tops SWS survey

According to the latest survey conducted by the Social Weather Station, Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte took the lead as the top presidentiable, garnering 38%, which is 17 points higher than his latest opponents: Senator Grace Poe and Vice President Jejomar Binay, who both garnered 21%. DepEd sets holiday break for public schools

According to the Department of Education that the holiday break for public schools should start on December 18 and will last until January 3. The DepEd also reminded schools in Metro Manila to set make-up classes to cover for the days with no classes during the APEC summit. China constructs more airstrips in disputed territories

According to reports, China is constructing three more airstrips inside the Philippines’ exclusive economic zone in the Spratlys Island. Meanwhile,  experts said airstrips will enhance the capability of China to act in the said area.
