Roxas Boulevard to be closed on June 12

Drilon proposes income tax reform bill

QUEZON City, Philippines – Senator Franklin Drilon wants to push the income tax reform bill in the next Congress. President Aquino did not approve the bill as it would reportedly result in government losing large amounts of taxes. Drilon also said that the 16th Congress was able to pass many laws that had positive results. Federalism possible within three years

DOH denies reports on privatization of Fabella hospital

QUEZON City, Philippines – Department of Health spokesperson, Dr. Lyndon Lee-Suy, denied allegations that the temporary closure of the Dr. Jose Fabella Hospital in Sta. Cruz, Manila will result in its privatization as well as the lay-off of its employees. The allegations caused a vigil and walk-out of the employees and patients of Fabella in protest.
