Turkey detains 57 in post-coup operation

ISTANBUL, Turkey (AFP) — Turkey on Friday detained 57 people in an operation that is part of an investigation into the failed July 15 coup, state media said. (Eagle News)– The Office of the Ombudsman released on Friday what it said was President Rodrigo Duterte’s Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth. Based on the statement, Duterte’s net worth was pegged at P27,428,862.44 as of December 31, 2016. The president’s basic monthly salary increased from P165,752 to P222,278 starting January 2017.

PRC building receives bomb threat

(Eagle News)– The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) office in Manila received a bomb threat Friday (May 12) afternoon. Work was disrupted as employees and people inside the office were evacuated out of the building.
