6.3 magnitude quake shakes Batangas; quake also felt in Mindoro, Metro Manila

  A magnitude 6.3 quake struck Batangas, about 1:30 pm Friday, August 11, which was also felt in parts of Luzon, including Mindoro and Metro Manila, sending many people out to the streets. At least one confirmed dead in QC fire

(Eagle News) — One person has been confirmed dead in the fire that struck a residential area in Quezon City on Friday. Authorities said the victim was a 67-year-old. They, have, however, yet to release a name. The fire that struck the residential area on Calamba St.,  Talayan Village before lunchtime, has reached the fifth alarm.
