Classes; work in courts, Senate suspended on Oct. 17, Tuesday

(Eagle News) — Classes at all levels have been suspended nationwide on Tuesday, Oct. 17. The suspension applies to all public and private schools, Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea said. Work in the Senate and in courts nationwide are also suspended on that day. The Pinagkaisang Samahan ng mga Tsuper at Opereytor Nationwide is set to hold another transport strike against the government’s planned jeepney modernization. The two-day strike began on Monday, Oct. 16.  

Work in gov’t offices suspended on Tuesday, Oct. 17

(Eagle News) — Work in government offices on Tuesday, Oct. 17, has been suspended. It was Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea who made the announcement. The Pinagkaisang Samahan ng mga Tsuper at Opereytor Nationwide is set to hold a transport strike on its second day on that day.
