MMDA: No number coding scheme on Tuesday, Wednesday

(Eagle News) — The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority has lifted the number coding for Tuesday, Oct. 31, and Wednesday, Nov. 1. In an advisory, the MMDA said the suspension of the number scheme on Tuesday will apply to Metro Manila except Las Piñas. On Nov. 1, it said the suspension of the number coding will apply to all cities in Metro Manila.

4.1-magnitude quake strikes Batangas

(Eagle News) — A 4.1-magnitude earthquake struck Batangas on Monday. The Philippine Institute for Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit twelve kilometers northwest of the municipality of Calatagan at 5:01 in the morning. No aftershocks were expected.
