MMDA suspends number-coding scheme on Wednesday, March 28

(Eagle News) — The number-coding scheme  will be lifted on Wednesday, March 28. The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority  said the suspension will be effective starting 10 a.m. The MMDA made the announcement after it said the number-coding scheme for city and provincial buses was suspended on Wednesday, March 28; and Monday, April 2. Motorists are expected to go on vacation during the long holiday break.

Train thought to carry N. Korea official leaves Beijing station: Kyodo

TOKYO, Japan (AFP) — A train thought to be carrying a senior North Korean official left Beijing station Tuesday, Japan’s Kyodo News reported, with speculation rife that the North’s leader Kim Jong Un was making a surprise visit. CAFGU member killed, another injured in Albay shooting incident

(Eagle News) – A member of the Citizen Armed Forces Geographical Unit (CAFGU) was killed, and another was wounded after they were shot at in Albay on Monday. The lone fatality was identified as Arnilo Secretario, 40. Secretario was riding a motorcycle being driven by Jonasis Bonit and was on his way to a road-widening project in Nabua, Camarines Sur when the attack in Barangay Centro Occidental, Polangui took place. Police are still investigating the incident.
