NCRPO to deploy around 20,000 policemen to secure barangay, SK elections 

(Eagle News) – The National Capital Region Police Office will deploy around 20,000 policemen for the May 14 barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections. According to NCRPO Chief Director Camilo Cascolan, 16,000 will be deployed in polling stations and precincts throughout Metro Manila, while 4,000 from the district mobile force will be on patrol. According to Cascolan, his instructions were to be always alert, and to respond immediately should there be any incident.

Israel missiles hit Syria military bases: state media
