In photos: Vast rice and cornfields in Ilagan, Isabela damaged by typhoon Ompong

  (Eagle News) — Vast rice and cornfields are damaged by typhoon Ompong’s powerful winds and rainds that slammed into Ilagan City in Isabela.  Initial estimated pegged the damage to agriculture at more than P370 million.   In the Philippines, the over-all damage to agriculture was estimated at more than P14 billion, according to the Department of Agriculture. Typhoon Ompong’s damage to PHL agri reaches P14.27 billion

  (Eagle News) — Typhoon “Ompong” damaged P14.27 billion worth of agriculture after it destroyed more than half a million hectares of farmland, according to the Department of Agriculture.
