Duterte renews Philippine Broadcasting Corp. franchise

(Eagle News) — President Rodrigo Duterte has renewed the franchise of Philippine Broadcasting Corporation. Under Republic Act 11240 signed by Duterte on March 8, the PBC franchise was extended to 25 years. Earlier, Duterte extended the franchises of Philippine Communications Satellite Corp. and of the University of Mindanao Broadcasting Network, which operates AM and FM stations in the region. Their franchises were also extended to 25 years.
