3.3-magnitude quake hits Negros Oriental

(Eagle News)–A 3.3-magnitude earthquake struck Negros Oriental on Thursday, Jan. 9. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which took place at 1:26 a.m., had its epicenter 17 kilometers northwest of Dauin. Depth of focus was 4 kilometers. The quake had an instrumental intensity II in Sibulan, Negros Oriental. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.
