(Eagle News)–A 4.8-magnitude earthquake struck off Surigao del Sur early Friday, Feb. 2. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 5:35 a.m. The epicenter was 78 kilometers northeast of Lingig. The depth of focus was 10 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.
