(Eagle News) –The Southwest Monsoon continues to affect the western section of Luzon as the country’s weather bureau is monitoring a new low pressure area (LPA) seen east of the Philippines.

According to PAGASA’s latest weather update, the trough of the LPA is affecting the eastern Visayas, CARAGA and the Davao region and would cause cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms in these areas.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers caused by localized thunderstorms.

Pangasinan, Zambales and Bataan will also have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms caused by the Southwest Monsoon.
