One suspected drug pusher killed in Taguig buy-bust op

Over P2 million worth of “shabu” seized, five arrested

(Eagle News) — One suspected drug pusher was killed in a buy-bust operation in Taguig on Thursday, March 7, that also yielded over P2 million worth of suspected shabu.

The Quezon City Police District said Alex Abdul, alias Manila Boy, was killed in the shootout that ensued after Abdul fired at authorities who were out to arrest him in Barangay South Signal Village at 1:27 p.m.

The police moved to arrest him after he “transacted” with a police poseur-buyer in the operation that was conducted following a tip from another suspected drug pusher in Cubao, Quezon City previously.

Arrested in the operation were Romeo Santisas; Jenelyn Poja,; Mariza Selamor; Mark Ronnel Padilla; and Maria Cristina Barrera.

Recovered from the suspects were P2,121,600 worth of shabu, a .45 pistol and one magazine loaded with five bullets, and a motorcycle that was allegedly stolen.

The suspects are facing drug-related charges.
