QUEZON CITY, April 19 — In line with the conduct of the 1st Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) this year, on Thursday, 21 April 2016 the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) launches a social media campaign dubbed as #pagyanig Challenge.
Given the official hashtag for the NSED, #Pagyanig, OCD developed the #Pagyanig Challenge. This campaign aims to encourage the public to participate in the earthquake drill and at the same time educate them on the importance of preparedness against earthquake hazards. OCD encourages those who have their social media accounts to take the #Pagyanig Challenge by following these steps:
1. Like the OCD’s official Facebook page: Civil Defense PH.
2. Show your commitment to the conduct of the 1st quarter NSED by posting a video saying:” I accept the #Pagyanig Challenge or a photo with the fan sign “I accept the #Pagyanig Challenge”.
3. Tag us on Facebook and invite your friends to do the same.
4. On April 21, share us your earthquake drill experience by posting your photo or video on social media doing the DUCK, COVER, HOLD with #Pagyanig.
The ceremonial launching of the drill will be at the Air Force City, Clark Airbase Pampanga on Thursday, 21 April 2016 at 9:00 AM, likewise, OCD Regional Offices will lead the earthquake drills in their respective pilot areas. (NSED)
