(Eagle News) – The co-founder of International Film Festival Manhanttan recently visited Manila and one of his stops was Eagle Broadcasting Corporation.
Luis Pedron, a co-founder of IFFM, has been in a business of supporting artists from the Tri-State NYC/NJ/CT area and from around the world.
He has co-produced international events that has helped out the community socially and economically since 2004.
Pedron arrived in the Philippines for speaking engagements about film-making and consulting projects.
He made the rounds of interviews in EBC — at Net 25’s “Masayang Umaga po!” to radio with 95.5 Pinas FM and web thru Digital Nest.
Pedron is the Festival Manager of the Viva Latino International Film Festival NY 2015 and 2016.
In the past Luis was the Programmer for the Soho International Film Festival 2010 and 2011, Festival Director for the Asians on Film Festival in North Hollywood CA 2013,and Festival Director for the One FILAM Film Festival Hollywood CA 2013.
“We have seen how film, as a powerful medium can make a direct impact on lives or facilitate change. We also have seen the unique diversity of New York’s culture and its people. The city’s appreciation for film and ability to make things happen,” Pedron was quoted in the IFFM website.
“IFFM is committed in showcasing entertaining and diverse films in all genres and scope to equal the diversity of New York. It is also committed in exploring all opportunities to promote the artists, his work, his vision, and his cause if he has any, during the showing of the films and the events during the festival.”

Pedron is also part of the Hollywood, California artistic community as the Artistic Director of the Asians on Film Festival (2013 – present) and the Programmer of the One Filipino-American Film Festival (2013 – present).
