Despite the continued rollback on the price of oil and petroleum products, there is still no rollback on the suggested retail price of basic goods in sight as manufacturers asked the Department of Trade and Industry to re-compute its projected reduction of said SRP, which means that there is still a need for a series of meetings before such reduction. The DTI added that it is not only the low price of oil and petroleum products that should be considered but other factors as well, like traffic.
