(Eagle News) — Because of heavy monsoon rains which were further enhanced by Tropical Depression “Egay”, class suspensions were announced on Monday, July 1, in some parts of Metro Manila, Bulacan, and Batangas.
In Metro Manila, classes were suspended in Quezon City on all levels, while in Malabon and Navotas, class suspensions were only from pre-school to senior high school, both for public and private schools.
In Bulacan, class suspensions were announced in the following towns:
Balagtas – all levels
Baliwag – all levels
Bocaue – all levels, public and private
Bustos – preschool to senior high school
Hagonoy – all levels
Marilao – all levels, public and private
Meycauayan – preschool to senior high school, public and private
Paombong – all levels
Sta. Maria – all levels
In Mariveles, Bataan, and Candelaria and Subic in Zambales, classes were likewise suspended in all levels.
In Batangas, only the town of Lian suspended classes for today, but only from preschool to Grade 12.
In Angeles, Pampanga, no classes were declared from preschool to elementary.
