Nine policemen who bashed Philippine National Police Chief Oscar Albayalde online have reported to him.

“I talked to them. I made them realize na mali yung gumagawa ng mga ganyan. Sabi ko nga we are in a uniformed service. Under the Constitution, we have limited powers, we cannot fully exercise our right to organize…We practise freedom of speech and assembly. Pag nasa uniformed service mayroon kang limitation. Nasa batas po yan.baka hindi nila naiintindihan yun,” Albayalde said.

The policemen, who have not been identified, will face administrative charges for conduct unbecoming of a police officer, while the two who did not appear before Albayalde,  including a police senior inspector who is a member of the Kaisang-Bisig class of 2009, will face additional charges of disobedience.

The PNP Cybercrime Group isa set to call 20 other policemen who allegedly bashed the PNP chief online.

“I am not taking it personally. Sinasabi lang sa akin. Gusto ko lang dito we want to instill discipline (in) our people, baka kasi gayahin ng iba pa,” Albayalde said.
