(Eagle News) — Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak, and his wife,  arrived in Manila on Thursday, April 27, at 5:25 p.m. and is one of two leaders to arrive early for the  30th Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) Summit in Manila.

The Malaysian government plane, carrying the 63-year old Prime Minister and his wife, Rosmah Mansor, landed at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 2.

The first of the ASEAN leaders to arrive was Brunei’s Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah whose plane landed Wednesday night (April 26), also at the NAIA.

Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process Jesus Dureza, Philippine Ambassador to Malaysia Charles Jose, and Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) general manager Ed Monreal were among those who welcomed the Malaysian Prime Minister at the airport.

He is expected to give the keynote address at the Prosperity for All Summit, along with Thailand Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha.  He will also  chair the 10th Indonesia-Malaysia-Thailand Growth Triangle Summit, as well as attend the 12th Brunei-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines East Asian Growth Area Summit to be chaired by Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte
