Newly-elected Manila mayor Moreno takes his oath

(Eagle News) – Newly elected Manila mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso took his oath on Sunday, June 30, as the 27th mayor of the city of Manila before Supreme Court Chief Justice Lucas Bersamin.

Moreno’s oath taking happened at the Manila City Hall’s Bulwagang Katipunan.

He will serve the three-year term as Manila mayor replacing former mayor Joseph Estrada.

Moreno’s running mate Vice-Mayor Maria Sheilah “Honey” Lacuna-Pangan who secured her second three-year term as the city’s vice-mayor, also took her oath.

Moreno won with a wide margin of more than 140,000 votes over closest rival Estrada, a former Philippine president.
