NEW YORK,United States (AFP) — Oklahoma City’s star duo of Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook drew fines on Sunday for their actions in a tense NBA playoff win over the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday.

Point guard Westbrook was fined $25,000 for “directing inappropriate language” toward a fan during Saturday’s game in Dallas, which the Thunder won 119-108 to take a commanding 3-1 series lead.

Durant was fined $15,000 for his flagrant two foul on Dallas guard Justin Anderson. Durant was ejected from the game in the final minute after his attempt to contest Anderson’s shot ended with him hitting the rookie hard on the top of the head with his forearm and hand.

Durant had no problem with the flagrant foul call, but said he wasn’t trying to harm Anderson.

“Plenty of plays this season where I blocked shots like that from behind,” Durant said. “Just unfortunate I fouled him over the head.”

The Thunder can wrap up the testy series on Monday, when they host game five.
