NBA: Kings’ Cousins fined $25,000 for in-game tantrum

NEW YORK, United States (AFP) — Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus Cousins has been fined $25,000 for entering the stands and throwing his mouthpiece into the crowd after fouling out of an NBA game against Minnesota on Saturday.

The incident occurred with 37.2 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter after Cousins was called for a charge with the Kings leading the Timberwolves 105-101.

The Kings went on to win the game 106-103.

Cousins finished the game with 29 points and seven rebounds.

A two-time All-Star and fifth overall selection in the 2010 draft, Cousins is averaging 30 points and 9.7 rebounds through the Kings’ first two games this season.
