Naeem Khan unveils a magical collection of sequined and beaded dresses

Designer Naeem Khan presented an ornate and intricately detailed line for his fall/winter 2015 collection yesterday at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York.

In celebration of his 10th year at Fashion Week, Khan’s ensemble displayed sequined dresses for evening parties and beaded evening gowns for the red carpet.

The Indian-American fashion designer, known for his gowns that incorporate handmade fabrics, has dressed the likes of Hollywood A-listers like Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, Penelope Cruz and more.

“It’s very obvious that I’ve designed collections for the most glamorous women of the world, so how do I make it so that it’s so interesting for my 10th year?” said Khan.

“So it’s high power. I mixed beautiful things from all over the years that I’ve done. I’m known for embellishments, I’m known for textures, so this collection is full of different textures, from embroideries, from lace, from beads, and the colors are so beautiful because I’ve mixed a coral with black, there’s a lot of white, winter white, so it’s a beautiful collection, which is magical.”

The designer launched his collection in 2003 and was in the limelight in 2010 when U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama dazzled in one of his sleeveless gold dresses when she and U.S. President Barack Obama met with former Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

Fashion Week in New York, a twice-a-year event, and runs until February 19.
