(Eagle News)–Metropolitan Manila Development Authority spokesperson Celine Pialago has filed complaints against the administrators of two social media sites she said had spread fake news.
Charged with cyber libel were the administrators of Facebook page Pinoy Laugh Page and Twitter page Barurot News, which she said quoted her as saying the following:
“MMDA to commuters: Kung wala kayong masakyan, huwag na lang kayo magtrabaho.”
The posts came following the disruptions in the operations of the Light Rail Transit 1 and 2, and the Metro Rail Transit 3 in recent days.
Bayan has said there was a mass transport crisis, but the Palace has denied this, admitting however that there was a need to improve the public transport system.
