(Eagle News) — The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority appealed to mall owners to systematically manage the vehicles entering and leaving their parking lots to ensure there would be no vehicular congestion in nearby areas.
“Alam naman po natin na talaga pong ngayong mga panahon na nearing the end of the year marami po talagang dumadagsa na ating kababayan dito sa Metro Manila para mamili,” MMDA Special Operations Task Force Commander Col. Bong Nebrija said in a phone patch interview.
Nebrija also called on motorists to follow the rules, and to extend courtesy to others.
“Panatilihin ang kakalmahan, huwag po tayong magpapadala sa init ng ulo natin. Magbaon tayo ng sapat na pasensya,” he said.
At least 500 MMDA personnel have been deployed to EDSA as the holidays near.
These were apart from the Task Force Special Operations personnel assigned to help manage traffic.
