MMDA: Road repairs in parts of Metro Manila set

(Eagle News) — The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority on Friday, Jan. 18, urged motorists to take alternative routes with road reblocking and repair work scheduled in some roads over the weekend.

In an advisory, the MMDA advised motorists to avoid the following areas from 11 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 18, to 5 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 21:

Southbound:

  • C-5 Road before Pasig Blvd., C-5 flyover
  • C-5 Road in front of SM Aura
  • Edsa after Lagarian Creek to Ernie Garcia (beside Metro Rail Transit)

Northbound:

  • Edsa after Oliveros St. (second lane from sidewalk)
  • MacArthur Highway Caloocan City (southbound) corner Calle Cuatro Mindanao Ave., Valenzuela City (northbound) from P. Dela Cruz to NLEX
  • Batasan Road before Payatas Road (first lane)

According to the MMDA, Maynilad  and Globe Telecom will also be holding their own road work and repair in these areas:

  • Mindanao Ave. (southbound) from Socorro St. to Mindanao Ave. (first lane from sidewalk)
  • Quezon City along Commonwealth Ave. corner Soliven St., Litex and Riverside, Barangay Commonwealth
