MMDA announces closure of some roads in M. Manila

(Eagle News)–The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority on Wednesday, Dec. 19, announced the closure of several roads in the metropolis.

The MMDA said the closure of these roads was to give way to the Metro Manila Film Fest parade slated on Dec. 23, starting 1 p.m.

According to the MMDA, the nine participating floats will start moving from Shopwise on Soreena St. in Parañaque, then turn right at Dr. A.Santos Avenue.

They will then go straight to Ninoy Aquino Avenue, turn left at Kabihasnan, make a right at Quirino Avenue, and then a left at MIA Road.

They will then turn right at Macapagal Boulevard, and left at Bradco Avenue in Pasay.

The MMDA said closed are the following:

– Quirino Ave. from Kabihasnan to MIA Road

– Kabihasnan from Dr. A. Santos Ave. to Quirino Ave.

– Dr. A. Santos Ave. (Westbound lanes)

– MIA Road (Westbound lanes)

– Macapagal Boulevard (Northbound lanes).

A counterflow traffic scheme will be implemented in the following:

-Eastbound lanes of Dr. A. Santos Ave. from Soreena Ave. (Shopwise) to Kabihasnan

–Eastbound lanes of Mia Road from Quirino Ave. to Macapagal Boulevard

-Southbound lanes of Macapagal Boulevard from MIA Road to Brodco

– Airport Road, with a two-way traffic from Roxas Boulevard to Domestic Road from 1 p.m to 12 midnight.
