QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) — The much-awaited moment has come!
When Pia Wurtzbach, the 64th Miss Universe made her final walk, she advised the next Miss Universe to fasten her seatbelt and embrace the growth especially in her confidence, maturity, and faith as she will encounter new challenges as the reigning Miss Universe.
On the stage were the top 3, Andrea Tovar of Colombia, Iris Mittenaere of France and Raquel Pelissier of Haiti. Standing with the three beauties is the pageant host, Steve Harvey.
The moment of silence was broken when Steve – after much kidding around – finally announced France’s Iris Mittenaere, as the 65th Miss Universe.
Her successor, Pia Wurtzbach, with a dazzling smile congratulated Miss France as she passed the most recent Miss Universe crown– Manhattan Skyline Crown.
