Marikina River water level down to 15.8 meters; warning downgraded to first alarm

(Eagle News) — The water level of the Marikina River went down to 15.8 meters on Monday, August 13.

According to the Marikina Public Information Office, as of 10:30 AM the level of the water in Marikina River went down to 15.8 meters. The warning has been downgraded to first alarm.

The Marikina River on Saturday has reached its peak at 20.6 meters where the third alarm has been raised, meaning a forced evacuation for all residents.

Meanwhile, over 3,000 evacuees have returned to their homes, while more than 18,000 evacuees are still in public schools and gyms designated as evacuation centers.
