LTFRB cuts by P10 the taxi flag-down rate

The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has announced that that it would slash by P10 the flag-down rate for taxis nationwide.

Starting March 9, the P40 flag down rate for taxis will be down to P30.

Although the taximeter will not reflect this yet, the LTFRB said that taxi riders would still have to cut P10 from the taxi rate when they pay their fare.

The LTFRB has also called on commuters to report to the LTFRB office the taxi drivers who would not follow the flag-down rate cut.
