LTFRB accredits ride-hailing firm Micab

(Eagle News) — The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board on Monday, April 30, accredited another Transport Network Company following Uber’s exit from the Southeast Asian market.

Micab Systems Corp. became the fifth TNC accredited this year, after Golag Inc. Hirna, Hype and Ipara, after its accreditation order was signed by LTFRB Chair Martin Delgra III, LTFRB Board Members Aileen Lizada and Ronaldo Corpus.

The order was attested to by Executive Director Samuel Jardin.

Micab’s accreditation will be valid for two years upon its issuance.

According to its Facebook page, commuters can now avail of Micab services in Cebu, Manila, and Baguio.

Micab is expected to join the list of new TNCs that will challenge Grab, which has monopolized the market since Uber’s exit.
