QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) — On Sunday, October 8, the Light Rail Transit Line 1 will give free rides to senior citizens in celebration of the Elderly Filipinos Week.
“The free rides will be available on all 20 stations of LRT-1, from Baclaran in Parañaque City to Roosevelt in Quezon City, with first trips leaving the stations at 4:30 a.m., while last northbound trip from Baclaran leaving at 9:30 p.m. and southbound trip from Roosevelt at 9:45 p.m.,” the Light Rail Manila Corp. (LRMC) said in a statement.
Those who want to claim the free ride only need to present their senior citizens’ ID.
The first week of October is Elderly Filipinos’ Week, based on Presidential Proclamation No. 470 s-1994.
