Lacson: File raps first before releasing celebrities “narco-list”

(Eagle News)–For Senator Panfilo Lacson, the list of celebrities allegedly linked to illegal drugs should not be released just yet.

According to Lacson, charges have to be filed first against the 31 personalities the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency said were on the list.

“Kung maglalabas ka ng listahan at sasabihin mong validated ito, dapat mayroong ebidensya kasi ang intelligence information pwedeng mamali, pwedeng tumatama,” he added.

PDEA chief Aaron Aquino has said he would not make public the list so far as the list undergoes validation.

PDEA had said earlier that two celebrities figured in the phone of big-time drug dealer Steven Pasion, who was killed in a buy-bust operation in Sta. Cruz, Manila on March 11.

The agency said one of them ordered 200 ecstasy pills from Pasion based on text messages seen on the phone.

It was unclear if these were for personal consumption or for distribution, PDEA said.
