Kings crush Hotshots in do or die PBA semis

(Eagle News) —The Ginebra Kings on Tuesday pulled a sweet victory over the Star Hotshots in a do-or-die semifinals match at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

The indefatigable team scored an overall 89 points, far more than the 76 the Hotshots managed to pull off by the end of four quarters.

The Kings are now set to face off with their sister team, two-time defending champions San Miguel Beermen, in the first match of the final series on Friday.

Sol Mercado of the Kings, who scored 23 points and 5 assists, was named player of Tuesday’s game.

His teammateTenorio had 21 markers, Aguilar, 19, and Thompson, 10.
