K-Pop boy band group, “BTS,” now in the country for two-day concert

(Eagle News) — K-Pop fans are excited to see another Korean boy band that would soon be performing live in Manila.

The Korean boy band group, BTS, or Bangtan boys, known for their synchronized choreography, is now in the country for their two-day concert to be held at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City on May 6 and 7.

The seven-member South Korean boy band made their debut on June 23, 2013, under Big Hit Entertainment with their Korean name – Bangtang Sonyeondan, or better known internationally as “Bulletproof Boy Scouts” or BTS.

This Korean Boyband has seven-members:

  • Rap Monster (Kim Nam-joon) their leader, who is a rapper and a song writer;
  • Jin (Kim Seok-jin) the oldest member of the group known for his sweet voice and visuals;
  • Suga (Min Yoon-gi), a man who produces songs, tracks and music for the group and is also a rapper;
  • J-hope (Jung Ho-seok), who can sing and rap and the dance choreographer of the group;
  • Park Ji-min with a screen name Jimin, one of the lead vocalists and main dancer;
  • Kim Tae Hyung, known for his stage name “V,” the group’s vocalist and is also a song writer, dancer and actor. He was recently cast in a Korean drama, “Hwarang;”
  • and lastly, the golden maknae of the group, Jeon Jeong-guk, also known for his stage name Jungkook. He is the main vocalist of BTS, a lead dancer, also a sub -rapper, and the center or face of the Group. The golden “maknae” is a nickname given by his hyung (older members). The name means “talented youngest member” of the group.

This group is also known for its self-produced tracks and own lyrics.

BTS has already released different genres of music.

BTS is in the country for the Philippine leg of its 2017 BTS Live Trilogy Episode III: “The Wings Tour” at the Mall of Asia Arena on May 6 (Saturday) and May 7 (Sunday).

The first day of the concert is scheduled at 7:30 PM, while the second day of the concert will start at 6:00 PM.

This is the fourth time that BTS will hold a concert in the country.

The group’s first concert was held during their “The Red Bullet” tour on December 7, 2014 also in MOA Arena.
