A person of interest in hazing victim’s death surfaces at NBI; denies any wrongdoing

(Eagle News) — A person of interest in the death of Horacio Castillo III surfaced at the National Bureau of Investigation on Friday.

Aeron Salientes–who surfaced hours after a primary suspect in Castillo’s death, John Paul Solano, surrendered—denied he had anything to do with Castillo’s death, noting that he wasn’t in the venue when the hazing rites took place over the weekend.

He said he was in Pampanga at that time.

According to Salientes, he was also against hazing, and would never be part of any act of hazing.

Salientes will not be detained as he is only a person of interest and not a suspect in the crime.
