Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid will make his long-awaited return from injury against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday, the team confirmed.

Reigning NBA Most Valuable Player Embiid, who has not played since late January, has been passed fit by the Sixers and will play limited minutes, reports said.

The Sixers ace has missed 29 games after injuring a knee in a defeat to the Golden State Warriors on January 30. He underwent surgery in early February.

Embiid, 29, who had been in blistering form prior to the injury, was shown holding a sign reading “I’m back” in a photo posted by the Sixers on X, formerly Twitter, shortly before tip-off.

The Sixers have gone 11-18 in Embiid’s absence, plunging down the Eastern Conference standings into the play-in places instead of the automatic playoff positions.
