Iglesia Ni Cristo Commemorative Stamp To Be Presented By PHLPost on May 10

The Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) will be issuing a stamp featuring the Iglesia ni Cristo’s (INC) first Executive Minister Felix Y. Manalo, who registered the Church of Christ in the Philippines a hundred years ago on July 27, 1914.  The INC commemorative stamp to be issued on May 10, the birthdate of Felix Y. Manalo, is bigger than the standard sized postal stamp.

The INC centennial logo and the Central Temple along Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City are also featured in the stamp

Iglesia Ni Cristo minister Bienvenido A.  Santiago Jr. designed the stamp. The stamp is printed in sepia and indicates the year 1914 (July 27) when the Iglesia Ni Cristo was first registered in the Philippines by Bro. Manalo.

The stamp measures 50mm x 35mm, and this is the first time the PHLPost will be printing a stamp larger than the regular 40mm x 30mm stamp size.

“We are proud to issue the centennial commemorative stamps of the Iglesia ni Cristo and of Bro. Felix, its first Executive Minister whose…untiring care for the Church members is remarkable,” said Postmaster General Josefina dela Cruz.

PHLPost will issue more than 1.2 million copies of stamp that will be presented on Saturday, May 10 at the INC Central Temple and will be sold at the Manila Central Post Office on that same day.
