I-ACT launches chat hotline against smoke belchers

QUEZON CITY, Philippines (Eagle News) — The Inter-Agency Council on Traffic launched its “Sumbong Bulok, Sumbong Usok” chat hotline.

Nagdadagdag tayo ng mga mekanismo na kung saan yung taumbayan ay kasama at katulong sa mga pagbabago sa kalye,” Transportation Undersecretary for Road Transport and Infrastructure Tim Orbos said in an interview.

Orbos said that under the chat hotline, public can report vehicles which are no longer roadworthy, as well as smoke-belching vehicles and illegally parked vehicles. To back their reports, the complainants will be asked to provide a photo or a video.

“Yung chatbot, parang kausap mo ay human rin. We recognize the importance and the usage of social media and this is very handy since you can access it through Facebook Messenger. You do not need to download another app,” the official said.
