House directs Resorts World Manila to submit CCTV footage of June 2 incident

QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) — The House of Representatives on Wednesday ordered the submission of the closed-circuit television camera footage that captured the June 2 tragic incident in Resorts World Manila.

In its hearing on the violent incident in Resorts World Manila, lawmakers also questioned why the lone gunman in the June 2 attack, Jessie Carlos, was able to enter the establishment and roam around the premises. The Resorts World Security men also failed to stop him from setting fire to the casino’s gaming tables and other equipment of the Resorts World in Manila, resulting in the death of 37 people.

Lawmakers said that the complete CCTV footage rom May 31 to June 3 will help them ascertain what really happened on June 2, and answer speculations especially about the fatalities.
