Ginebra Kings defeat Star Hotshots; force Game 7

The Barangay Ginebra Kings defeated the Star Hotshots on Sunday, February 19, forcing a winner take-all game 7 for both teams vying for the much-coveted Oppo Philippine Basketball Association Cup.

The Gin Kings tied the series after they ended game 6 with 91 points, vis a vis their rival’s 67,

Sol Mercado headed the Kings, who made 21 points. LA Tenorio contributed 19 points.

Joe Devance also added 14 points, Jervy Cruz, 11 points and Japeth Aguilar, 11 points and 10 rebounds.

The first half of the game was controlled by the Star Hotshots but the never-say-die team didn’t lose hope and came out stronger in the second half.
