(Eagle News) – Controversial lawyer Larry Gadon filed his certificate of candidacy (COC) with the Commission on Elections on Friday, October 12, where he announced his senate run for the May 2019 elections.

Gadon became controversial after filing the impeachment complaint before Congress in August 2017 against then Supreme Court Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno. Sereno was eventually ousted as the head of the tribunal by her colleagues in a quo warranto petition filed by the Office of the Solicitor General.

Gadon claimed he is confident of winning a senate seat next year. He said would be running under Lakas-CMD.   (with a report by Jerold Tagbo, Eagle News Service)
