(Eagle News) — Former Ilocos Norte Rep. Roquito Ablan Jr. passed away on Monday.
His son, Communications Assistant Secretary Kris Ablan, confirmed the news in a Facebook post.
The government official said his father was 85 years old.
“My dad passed away peacefully this morning. Lucky to be at his bedside when he died,” the younger Ablan said.
His father was an 8-term representative of the 1st district of Ilocos Norte in the Lower House.
He also served as Provincial Board member, vice-governor and acting governor of Ilocos Norte.
